Chicken Tikka Masala

🍽 Dish Name: Chicken Tikka Masala

📝 Ingredients:

  • 500g chicken breast, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tbsp garam masala
  • 1 tbsp turmeric
  • 1 tbsp ground cumin
  • 1 tbsp ground coriander
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 1 cup coconut milk or heavy cream
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish
  • Salt and pepper to taste

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Marinate the Chicken:
    In a bowl, mix yogurt, garam masala, turmeric, cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken cubes and marinate for at least 1 hour (overnight for best results).
  2. Cook the Chicken:
    Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook until browned and fully cooked. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Make the Sauce:
    In the same skillet, sauté the onions, garlic, and ginger until softened. Add the tomato puree and cook for a few minutes. Stir in coconut milk or cream and let it simmer until thickened.
  4. Combine:
    Add the cooked chicken to the sauce and let it simmer for another 5-10 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  5. Serve:
    Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve over basmati rice or with naan bread.

Tip: For a spicier version, add red chili flakes or fresh chopped green chilies to the sauce.
